Troncones Beach is located 1/2 hour to the north of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo. The beach is a recently developed, beachfront community that is home to a number of small hotels and bed-and-breakfast resorts. With 3 miles of sand beach broken by a few rocky points, Troncones has become very popular with people who like the feeling of being away from town and the convenience of living just a half hour drive from the amenities of a major tourist resort.
